Essex provided an energy efficiency studies for 11 high rise office buildings, two of which are shown. Which included modeling and comparison of current utility use with predicted use. We provided a 10-year capital reserve, a LEED Gap Analysis and evaluation of the Building Automation System (BAS). We considered alternative energy systems, ice storage, infiltration loss, stack effect induced loss, window shading and tinting and energy recovery from building exhaust, water harvesting, and water conservation techniques controlled irrigation and alternative landscaping. Essex also provided data-logging equipment to document interior space conditions. |

Essex performs Energy Star Certifications at the Galleria campus, which is comprised of a convention center and eight Class-A high rise structures. Essex involvement in the certification was verification of energy consumed, classification of space and specific consumption, light level verification using calibrated light meters, outdoor air supply verification, direct-reading measurements of carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, temperature and relative humidity. |

ESSEX provided retro commissioning services for the 1155 Perimeter Center West 12-story office tower built in 2000. The building contains approximately 362,000 square feet of rentable space. The building includes offices, a fitness center and conference facilities. Essex commissioned the lighting and HVAC systems. The scope of this retro commissioning was to meet the Energy and Atmospheres prerequisite for LEED EB certification. This project has been awarded LEED “Gold” certification. |
